Happy 11th Birthday Adyson!

Adyson had a great birthday this year.  We had a family dinner on her actual birthday.  Her menu was...chocolate cream pie for breakfast, Zuppa Toscana soup, salad, and garlic bread for dinner, and banana cream pie for dessert.  We had fun celebrating her!  Her grandparents came over to see her and join in the dinner celebration. She also had a birthday party with friends the next day.  Everyone guys played games, had chocolate and cheese fondue, and did splatter painting.  It is so much easier to have a big party with older kids. You had a blast!  Some of your favorites:  Sport: Soccer, Food: Spicy Spaghetti, Color: Lime Green, Book: Kane Chronicles Series, Book: Harry Potter: 3rd book, Funny thing about you: When you don't want to do something you put your finger over the top of your mouth as if you have a mustache and are in disguise so that maybe we won't see you and make you do it.  Makes me laugh every time!  :)

       You have grown into such a beautiful, talented girl.  You are such a focused, peaceful person.  You are a great helper and wonderful example to your little sisters.  We love you so much, and feel so lucky to have you!

Basketball Fun!

Avery has had a fun time playing with a team that ended up being all boys this session.  At first she wasn't so sure about being the only girl, but she got over it pretty quick and had a lot of fun.  She really likes going for the ball and is pretty determined to get some shots in.  We had a great time watching her!

Broken!

I dislocated and broke my left pinky finger helping coach Adyson's basketball team. It was such a random thing. I reduced it myself, but the bone was still broken and crooked :(  Not fun! On the upside, Rick gave me a wonderful blessing, and had a very unique, special experience.  Always a positive, right?  Praying for no surgery....

Abby got her ears pierced!

She was very brave, and she got spoiled with a sucker afterwards :)

We went down to the new Visitors Center at the Portland Temple for Family Night last Monday. We had fun learning some new things.  We then went for a walk on the grounds, ate a yummy dinner, and checked out Deseret Bookstore.  We took this picture with our camera timer.  Abby was so interested in watching her dad run back and forth between the camera and us that we couldn't get her to look forward. :)

YW Beach Trip

We went to a beautiful beach house in Lincoln City over Presidents Day weekend.  We had such a wonderful time getting to know each other better, relaxing, eating, and laughing a lot. Notice I did not mention sleeping...there was not much of that going on.  It took me over 2 days to recover :)
