Rick and Adyson recently competed in the Nike Prenationals.  It is a really fun, large race free to participants that is held inside Portland Meadows horse track.  They run with Bowerman Athletic Club that is sponsored by Nike.  This club does all kinds of fun meets together and they even get to rub shoulders, train, and get to know a lot of the Olympians that train at the Nike campus.  Some of the olympic runners even do training runs with the kids. They ran a 3K race with all middle school age kids.  They had a lot of fun and did very well.  Rick ran it in 11:50, around a 6:20 pace. He placed 43rd out of almost 180 kids.  Adyson ran it in 12:45, around a 6:45 pace.  She placed 33rd out of over 190 girls.  I love that my kids share a love of running with me!
